In 636 AD, after protracted skirmishing and minor engagements the Arab and Byzantine armies faced each other on the banks of the Yarmuk river. From the 10th to the mid-17th century, religious organisations played an important part in the social, political and military life in Japan. French pilots endured the almost unique experience of fighting both with and against the Allies during World War 2. This book details the colourful experiences of the elite pilots of the AAF's Tenth and Fourteenth Air Forces in the 'forgotten' China-Burma-India theatre during WW2.
