This book is about the interiors of Japanese Army and Navy aircraft flown during the Second World War. В этой небольшой книге - как бы справочнике в миниатюре, кратко изложена и сопровождена красочными иллюстрациями история создания и развития лучших отечественных самолетов периода 1917—1945 гг. По существу охвачена почти вся эпоха развития советских самолетов с поршневыми двигателями. Конечно, среди поистине огромного числа самолетов, созданных советскими конструкторами в тот период, трудно выделить бесспорно лучшие. Тем не менее, каждый из представленных самолетов сыграл значительную роль в развитии советской авиации, даже если он и не выпускался массовой серией.
В книге не столько дается описание того или иного самолета, сколько рассказывается о том, в каких условиях и для чего он создавался, что удалось и не удалось достичь и почему. Изложение основано на документальных данных, а почти все цветные изображения относятся к реально существовавшим машинам. Летно-технические характеристики самолетов периода Великой Отечественной войны, приводимые в таблицах, соответствуют серийным образцам, непосредственно поставлявшимся на фронт, а не первым опытным экземплярам. Поэтому возможны некоторые расхождения с известными литературными источниками. |
