The OA vz. 30 (Obrneny automobil vzor 30) was a Czechoslovak-designed armored car used by Nazi Germany, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary during World War II. Fifty-one were built, of which the Germans seized twenty-four when they occupied Bohemia-Moravia in March 1939 and the Slovaks captured eighteen when they declared independence from Czechoslovakia at the same time. Romania acquired nine when Czech troops sought refuge in Romania after the Hungarian invasion of Carpatho-Ukraine that same month. Slovak vehicles saw combat in the Slovak-Hungarian War, the invasion of Poland, the opening months of Operation Barbarossa and the Slovak National Uprising. This book includes details of the development and combat usage of this car. Dual czech/english text, colour profiles, line drawings. |

The Panzerkampfwagen 35(t), commonly shortened to Panzer 35(t) or abbreviated as Pz.Kpfw. 35(t), was a Czech-designed light tank used mainly by Nazi Germany during World War II. The letter (t) stood for tschechisch (German: "Czech"). In Czech service it had the formal designation Lehký (Light) Tank vzor (Model) 35, but was commonly referred to as the LT vz. 35. Four hundred and thirty-four were built; of these the Germans seized two hundred and forty-four when they occupied Bohemia-Moravia in March 1939 and the Slovaks acquired fifty-two when they declared independence from Czechoslovakia at the same time. Others were exported to Bulgaria and Romania. In German service it saw combat during the early years of World War II, notably the Invasion of Poland, the Battle of France and the invasion of the Soviet Union before being retired or sold off in 1942. It was used for the remainder of the war by other countries and as a training tank in Bulgaria into the Fifties. The book includes details of the development and combat usage of this tank and is packed with black and white photographs, schemes, colour profiles and the crew compartments in colour. Also contains scale drawings, detailed component drawings. Czech/English text. |

The huge success of the PzKpfw 38(t) tank quickly led to thoughts of turning it into a self-propelled gun. The chassis was well suited for this and the Marder III was born. This book provides a complete view of the PzKpfw 38(t) chassis during the Second World War.
The 38(t) became the chassis for a wide variety of self-propelled guns, ranging from 20mm to 149mm in size. Along with this range of weaponry came a wide variety of color schemes, as these vehicles found their way into just about every front during the Second World War. Interestingly, while the PzKpfw 38(t) found its way into the armies of many European countries, the self-propelled guns remained mainly a German vehicle. This is reflected in the color profile section, with all but one being depicted in German markings (the remaining one is Czech).
Scale drawings accompany the large selection of photos, giving an excellent visual outline of the life of the self-propelled guns based on the Panzer 38(t) chassis. In addition to this is an extremely well-written text, again in both Czech and English, covering both the technical differences between the variants and the operations of the vehicles. |
