If, however, T.D.Lee says "We all know that the basis of physics is experiment", this does need a proof. It not only states the fact, but also claims that the fact is known to all of us. This is much more and not always obvious. The proof refers to old Archimed shown in [2] on a sixteenth-century wood engraving (Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris) as sitting in a barrel of water and being described as "erster erfinder scharpffsinniger vergleichung ". Who can afford not to know about the bath of Archimed, so indeed we all know! Lee then continues by postulating two laws of physicists, T.D. Lee's first law of physicists: "Without experimentalists, theorists tend to drift." T.D. Lee's second law of physicists: "Without theorists, experimentalists tend to falter". Ключевые теги: физика
