Chapters 4 through 8 are concerned with the often tedious but very necessary matter of constructing detailed formulae for reaction amplitudes. Chapter 9 studies the structure of reaction amplitudes in a more general way, especially their symmetry properties. The description of polarization phenomena in terms of spherical tensors is developed in chapter 10.
