The air pressure regime is a direct result of the superposition of pressure transients generated as a result of a multiplicity of changes in the system operating condition and wave reflections and transmissions, while the resulting entrained airflow depends fundamentally upon the shear force between the applied water flow and the air within, or drawn into, the network.
